42nd Street is the greatest show ever. Today is our first rehearsal with the pit orchestra, and I'm super excited, but also really nervous. I know things are going to be super weird and awkward and we'll probably get messed up. So. But I'm also excited.

The show is just so much fun. Shows are always super fun amazing, but 42nd Street is even more so because tap dancing is awesome. And it's nice because the show isn't full of the usual "step-together-step-together, three-step-turn, together" type dancing that shows at my school usually have. A lot of the dances are actually sort of intense tapping, which is soooo fun.

Also the show is really fun because I actually have a speaking role, and there are a few musical numbers that are just me and a couple other people, which is fun too. And, of course, there are amazing people in the show, who make it reeeally fun.

Basically, the entire point of this entry is to say that 42nd Street rulezzzz. And I love theatre.

This is what I wake up to this morning. First snow.
Minnesota effing SUCKS.

Numero dos: I hate people my age (high school aged kids). Last night was my school's homecoming, and because one parent complained they had to make a "no grinding or innapropriate dancing" rule. I don't do that, so I was unaffected, except for thinking that it would be hilarious to see people trying to stop the grinding.
HOWEVER. About an hour into the dance, everyone was getting so mad about this rule that people all LEFT to protest it. My friends and I were like "..." but it was actually awesome because all the morons who normally stand there being awkward and take up space had left, so we had the entire space to dance like crazy people. AAAAAWESOME. I just felt bad for the teacher who arranged it all, since it is a way that our school makes money, and if no one else comes to the dances...

But how stupid is that?! Because you can't grind, you automatically think that the dance is just stupid, and leave. I'm sorry, everyone, that you can't control your fucking teenage hormones, and need to be practically having sex while dancing in order to enjoy yourself. Good protest, too. Leave AFTER you've already paid. Goooooood work.

I. Love. School.

This year I'm getting all involved in stuff, just because my friends and I thought of a whole bunch of cool things to do. First of all, I'm an officer in my school's drama club, which is awesome since drama/theatre is sorta "my thing." Also, I'm part of Montage, which is a literary magazine in my school. So that's sweet. And lastly, my friend and I are starting SPANISH CLUB, which is going to be AMAZING.

Also, the musical has started in my school, and it's 42nd Street, which is such an awesome show. I'm playing Phyllis Dale, and I'm also one of the 3 assistant choreographers. So, life is grand and awesome and fun!!!!!

Why do most people hate school? I really don't get it. School is awesome!! There's so much fun stuff to do!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I'm really pissed off.

So, I live in Minnesota. My parents are morons for deciding, "Hey...instead of living in some warm place, let's live in Minnesota where it is super cold!"

Anyway, so it's April. April 27. And guess what? This morning I wake up, and it is snowing.

Yes, snowing.

The best part is that on Tuesday and Wednesday, it got up to 75 degrees and I wore shorts and I was just soooo happy! But now, three days later, it is 31 degrees and snowing.

Buy hey, that's Minnesota for ya.
